Professional Supervision and vocational mentoring for licensed mental health counselors and expressive art therapists/change Agents

As an LMHC and certified non-REAT supervisor for IEATA, I have held space for mental health and ExAT professionals for more than twenty years. In supervision, therapists have opportunity to grapple with the intricacies of relational work and systemic struggles we all face in the field. There is also a focus on continual skill, process and personal development, creating a nourishing, safe opportunity for explorations that facilitate growth. In addition, we dream together about what we could bring to our clients, communities, and the inter-disciplinary field we create within.

  • Supervision provides opportunities for practitioners to explore their own life and wellbeing through creative and expressive arts practices.

  • Professional development including a focus on ethics, standards of practice, and a continual engagement with curiosity, wonder and the imagination, and exploring what could be grounds this work.

  • Group supervision provides an exponential benefit of collaborative synergy that contributes to the care experienced, the multiplicity of ideas that emerge, and the laughter and lovingkindness that erupts between participants.

“I had a truly wonderful time working with Mary and felt like I gained new, tangible skills as well as a broader scope of practice-centered understanding. Mary was incredibly responsive to my needs and the nuances of my learning style. She helped me improve my knowledge of theory, develop new strategies for applying it, and remember to uplift my own self-care and creative vitality along the way. I very highly recommend her as a supervisor, educator, and consultant.”
